A delegation of U.S. Senior officials in Algiers

National Security Council Coordinator for Middle East and North Africa Brett McGurk; Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Near Eastern Affairs Yael Lempert, and National Security Council Director for North Africa Jeremy Berndt held meetings with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Army Chief of Staff Said Chanegriha, and Ambassador Mustapha Boucha, Counselor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and examined ways to continue to work together for peace and stability. The United States values Algeria’s efforts to support peace and security and counter terrorism in the region.
