Mabrook to 204 Algerian students from Adrar, Ain Defla, Bejaia, El Oued, Jijel, Medea Tizi Ouzou, and Ouargla who graduated from our Access program this weekend! The students, chaperoned by 15 teachers and World Learning staff and volunteers, gathered in Mostaganem for a three days of community service activities and 22 STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) workshops. Sponsored by the U.S. embassy, in partnership with World Learning, the Access English Program provides scholarships to talented teenagers to learn English language skills through after-school classes and intensive sessions. Access gives participants English skills that may lead to better jobs and educational prospects. Since its implementation in 2004, Access program provided training for almost a thousand students in 20 wilayas across Algeria.
