The final workshop of the Algerian English Language Teachers’ Training (AELTT) project provided training to over 100 teachers in Algiers, with Embassy Staff and English Language Fellows presenting alongside their Algerian colleagues. Acting Deputy Chief of Mission, Ana Escrogima, opened up the workshop and emphasized Embassy Algiers’ commitment to supporting English language teaching in Algeria. Managed by former U.S. Exchange program alumni volunteers through a 2015 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund, the 12-month program trained over 200 English Language teachers across Algeria, enhancing their teaching skills and enabling them to network with other teaching professionals.
