Description:
The Public Diplomacy Section (PD) of the U.S. Embassy in Algiers is pleased to announce an open competition for concept notes for projects or programs to take place in our American Spaces in Algiers, Oran, Bechar, Ouargla and Constantine. Projects may take place in one location or across multiple locations.
Funding Areas:
This funding opportunity aims to strengthen ties between the United States and Algeria through projects in our American Spaces. Successful concept notes will provide information about the United States, alumni engagement, English Language teaching and learning, skills building, and cultural programs. Other project themes could include entrepreneurship, women’s empowerment, economic development, STEM. Journalism and media or environmental protection.
Eligible Projects Applicants:
- Civil society organizations;
- Organizations that work with vulnerable populations (e.g., local youth organizations, youth houses);
- Schools or universities;
- Media outlets;
- Individuals
Concept Note Submission Information:
Concept note requirements: The project abstract must include the following items:
- Project basics, including title, project length, and which American spaces;
- Brief project description (150 words max)
- Specific project activities and timeline (200 words max)
- SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound) Goals (200 words max)
- How project advances U.S. Embassy American Spaces goals (150 words max)
- Project applicant information, including contact information, and legal status;
- Project Implementer Qualifications
- Project budget estimate in U.S. dollars
