On February 26, 2017, terrorists conducted two attacks against police in the city of Constantine, resulting in injuries. The Algerian government is engaged in operations to apprehend the attackers. Pending further information, the U.S. Embassy is limiting staff travel to the wilaya (governorate) of Constantine until March 29, 2017. We urge U.S. citizens considering travel to Constantine to review their plans accordingly.
