U.S. Embassy and the American Institute Hold U.S. University Fair

The U.S. Embassy in Algeria, in partnership with the American Institute, a private language school and educational center, held a U.S. University Fair on Friday, July 7, in Algiers.

The U.S. University Fair aims to promote American universities and study abroad opportunities among Algerian students, providing them with information and resources to make informed decisions about how to study in the United States, and help them overcome barriers to apply.  By bringing together Algiers-based alumni from a diverse range of American universities, colleges, and academic institutions, as well as representatives from the U.S. Embassy in Algeria and affiliated programs including EducationUSA and the Fulbright exchange program, the fair aims to empower Algerian students to pursue their education in the United States.

U.S. Ambassador to Algeria Elizabeth Moore Aubin declared, “I am delighted to see the increase of interest of Algerian students to pursue their education in the United States of America, and we are happy as the U.S. Embassy in Algeria to help in supporting them oin this journey.”

The U.S. University Fair included 32 American universities and hundreds of participants.  Students interested in studying in the United States can also always book a free advising appointment by visiting the EducationUSA World Learning Algiers Facebook page.
